This month saw the main Pleasley Pit Open Day held on the 6th and 7th of the month.
Despite battling with the inclement weather, we had a lovely weekend and it saw the culmination of our Photographic Competition.
We got a lot of interest in the Group and the Site and hopefully this will help with promotion of Pleasley Pit Nature Site as well as the Group and our activities.

Again we would like to thank the independent judges, Mr Keith Lord and Mrs Helen Metcalfe for their time and efforts, as well as to Martin Stubbs who arranged and mounted the photograhs.
All the entries will be on display in Mansfield Library between 15th October and 7th November and at the next Members evening on Thursday 9th October. Certificates will also be given to the winners.
All proceeds from the competition will cover small running costs and the go towards the PPNSG Group and its activities on site.
