The reedbeds on the site need occasions management.

This help to promote new growth, controls the spread of the reeds in to areas where they are not needed, allows open water to be maintained and allows maintenance to be performed on the water course.

On Saturday 17th November 2007 members of the Nature Study Group were in action opening out the reed beds and using the cut reeds to provide habitat refuges in the adjacent woodland.
