The site is maintained by a groups of volunteers from all walks of life. We work alongside the Derbyshire County Council Rangers to maintain habitat, encourage new wildlife and preserve the species already established.

Volunteers saved the site from an uncertain future and now we have many members who support in an active way by providing their time and expertise,as well as hard graft followed by a lovely cup of tea!!

We have a growing number of supporters who choose to join the group as a member and keep up to date with the site through newsletters and members evenings. They don't feel they can give the time to be an active member but give support in many other ways.

Here are some members moving and repairing some of the fences on site.

All members are made welcome and help to promote the site as well and have some fun and socialise with other like minded people.

Active members usually meet from 9-12am every Saturday at the portacabin near the pit building.

Please use the contact form to enquire about joining us.
