Many local events and community projects both support and are supported by Pleasley Pit Nature Study Group.

A local school, Anthony Bek primary School is partnered with the site and continues to work with us on projects.

During their 'Creativity Week', normally in June, they work in their 'outside classroom' learning about the environment and creating areas such as a wildflower garden, vegetable plot and a live willow sculpture.

The school then spend half a day at the Country Park and take part in orienteering, a bug hunt and a walk to the dragonfly ponds to see if there are any dragonflies about.

They also visit the Bird Hide and meet members of the group who help identify the bugs they catch and to learn about the site history and wildlife.
